Ooh. I read those too. When I was fifteen, my family took a trip to Prince Edward Island, where I explored Green Gables and bought the last book of the 'Anne' series to complete my reading journey of her life. Lucy Maud Montgomery is a favorite author.
My mom read is the box car children at bed each night. And for the speech competition in first grade I memorized Little Orphan Annie by James Whitcomb Riley. I fell out of love with ready for many years as I was a struggling reader with dyslexia. Thank goodness I found it again as a young adult when I stumbled upon Eragon, written by a 13 year old! What an amazing gift that boy gave me.
Nancy Drew, anything Agatha Christie, The Black Stallion, The Box Car Children, Hardy Boys, poetry…Hiawatha Childhood, Oh Captain My Captain, The Raven, The Highwayman, Alice Through the looking Glass and so very many more!

Prince Edward Island is on my list of must-visits 😊
I loved Babysitter's Club, but my teacher would read The BFG to us after lunch, and that's when I fell in love with reading!

It just takes one book! I’m so glad you found Eragon. ❤️
